Whether you believe in god or not, most people would consider this to be a mental condition. Why do people think they are "special" or "gifted" when they are obviously crazy, delusional, and believe in myths and fairy tales? Go get yourself medicated.

Religious language is a pretty dangerous thing to me. We all know the language because we hear the language being spoken all the time... the problem, however, none of us have a precise understanding of what the other means.

However, we need the vocabulary to communicate without having to recite an essay every time we want to discuss, say, an action we take- or a thought we have- that is perfectly on target with doctrine. I would say personal experience and doctrinal understanding determines the tone in which we express it.
